Seasoned Ghanaian journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah has revealed the only way she thinks the prison services in this country could be improved to suit its main purposes.
According to her, the laws in Ghana seem to deal with the vulnerable only and they are the only people who go in and out of the prisons hence no better renovations and reforms there.
She added that if the nation wants this issue to be curbed once and for all, the laws must be implemented properly so that politicians and higher-profile people can equally be arrested and jailed.
Nana Aba Anamoah noted that if any of these politicians have been arrested and jailed once or twice, they would have found a way to get the prisons fixed for good.
One of the places that look like hell is the prison service in Ghana.
The way of life of inmates is nothing good to write home about and as Nana Aba Anamoah said, no politician goes there, so, therefore, attention hadn’t been there.
